You made the decision yourself to retire when you did! I am sure you had all scenarios explained to you at the time of your decision by advisors on what the consequenses could be and now you're whining about them after the fact, now that you have changed your mind.SHUT UP and deal with it !! You gave the Packers all of the leverage when you retired before your contract was finished and deserve whatever they dish out for your quitting on your team early!!

Nice Move
Nice move matt jones. your just getting some payback for all the fans you robbed here in Jacksonville. I don't know how you did that blow with one hand. Someone just told me that you had two hands. You couldn't prove it by the way you played football in Jacksonville. All I can say now is Good-Bye. Don't even think about Jacksonville. "DUDE"

Jags are getting respect
I will tell you this is what is being said about the Jags. Every place I go in Vegas . I wear Something with Jaguars on it. Hat T shirt. I'm asked. You a Jaguar fan Yep. Man this could be there year. I say I hope so. Then Fred T comes up. Man the running back get no respect. I'll ask what do you thing of them. Man Fred Taylor is one of the best playing. And the QB is only going to get better. Then they say what I want to hear and hope for. I think this is the year they take over the Colts spot on top. The Jaguars are being notice by the fans. And Vegas has fans from all over. Maybe the Jaguars are starting to get respect. Jag Fans go to the games. I will be flying in for no less than four games.

BIG BROWN
Magoo..... I guess you can go ahead and BITE your tongue about your projected Triple Crown Winner, BIG BROWN!!! I also thought that it was a lock, and secured it with a Nice wager, but LOST!!!!!
Amp: Unless you are bland, boring, and espouse a right-wing view of the world, a Black man will never be a host of a Jacksonville sports talk show. Black men are relegated to "shut up and play" in this town. I know that some will label my comment racist, and that's their right. But, I'm just going on what I see, and I don't see any person of color in sports talk radio, even though most of the guys on the field are Black...PEACE.

TIGER Woods
I am sad to see that the number one golfer in the world will be sidelined. It is clear to me that Tiger wouldn't care if he ever played in any tournament at all, except the Majors. He has all he needs. I don't know what they juiced his knee up with on Monday, but it sure was better than Sunday.
I have played Golf almost as much as anyone, until I got crippled up, and can't play anymore. I was at The Dunes everyday, rain or shine. many times we would play 54 holes, but unless it was pouring, many of us played everyday. my greatest memories are of The Dunes when it was a Bar hooked up to a Golf Course. We were like one huge family, who at the time had plenty of money, and could do anything we wanted to. Yes, we played a lot of Poker, and other things, but those were the days that, if you were there, you will never forget. I recently drove into the driveway, and sat there, where there used to be the first hole, Par 5, and cried like a baby. it just took me back to younger days. Days I will never forget or regret. You had to be there to know what I am talking about. People were playing $250.00 a hole with carry overs. Anything went, but nothing to hurt anyone ever. Just our kind of fun. When we drove down that long driveway to the Club House, we knew we were going to see many friends, and have breakfast before we would start with a huge alcoholic beverage on that first hole.
I didn't mean to get into all this. I just wonder how the numer one Golfer in the World can hit a bad shot, and then swear like a sailor right on television. Most Radio, or Television people would get fired if they said GD even one time. Now The bunch I hung around with could put Tiger to shame in that language area, but not a one of us were on television. None of us can claim a Halo. Tiger is supposed to be looked up to by children, and others. Swearing like he does on National Television, should not be. What kind of example is he setting for the youngsters who might play golf one day? We could do it, because we were just a bunch of Golf Junkies, but Tiger is shown all over the world, and GD is not the words that should follow a bad shot. At least, maybe the camera's could pull away, but they have to get that shot of Tiger, running off at the bad mouth.

Wednesday Pete insulted us all with his nonsense about the Jags "anthem"... Sweet Home Alabama. It is clear that his problem isn't with the song but with the fans and the fine people of Jacksonville. His lame (covert) attempt to turn it into racial issue shows a lack of maturity and an inabilty say anything meaningful for almost 2 hours. Lazy...un-informative radio. 90 minuetes of my life I'll never get back. Pete do us all a favor and prepare for your show...

The Triple Crown
Let me climb in here, and say something very important to The Sporting World. Does anyone know the most watched sport in the world? It is horse racing by a mile. Does anyone know what is called "The Sport of Kings" ? Now I am a "Bull Gator". That means that I have graduated from the University of Florida in 1980, and I love my gators, and I prove it with my support, both physically, and financially.
Now I said all this to say this. Remember the name "Big Brown". Very few of us ever get to see what this horse is about to accomplish in three weeks, at "The Belmont". Now, we say we are Sports Fans. Well like I said, Horse Racing is the most watched Sport of all. Now, I know that David is a Horse racing fan of sorts, but I don't feel like Big Brown, and what This Huge Horse is about to accomplish, is getting any of whats due on Sports Talk Radio. Some of you guys treat this feat like just a flicker in time, and give it no air time. Oh, When Big Brown wins the Triple Crown, most of you might give the feat an honorable mention, but which one of you will give this record setting feat at least ten minutes on your program? It has been thirty years since any horse has done this, and if Big Brown does not do it, we will never see it again in our lifetimes.
So, WAKE UP SPORTS FANS!!! HISTORY IS ABOUT TO BE MADE!

Tiger's Gesture's.
We have set up Tiger Woods as some sort of a golf god, and certainly he is probably one of the very best you, and I will see, But: Here we have this Icon spewing foul language out of his mouth, and if you can't hear it, you can certainly just read his lips. Tiger needs someone to coach him on his choice of words, and actions after he makes a bad shot. Many kids are watching these days, because they want a shot at being like Tiger.
Tiger, after you make a rare terrible shot, just stick a Nike Golfball in your mouth, with the Logo facing out, and you will make more money, and save the real insinuations.
Your better than that Tiger, so check your gestures, and wording. Its not hard to read your lips when you are working over golf shot.

All hail to our new fearless leader on the field, David Garrard. This I can say for sure. We won't be reading David's name on any Police Blotter, and we can be PROUD to say that Our Jaguars have one of the TOP rated Quarterbacks in The National Football League. David is a class act, on and off the field. I think that this year will be the year that we go very deep into the playoff's, if not go to The Super Bowl. We need a couple of Cornersk, and one good wide reciever, which Jack will take care of in the draft. One thing I need to know. What is the chatter with that gutless, heartless, Matt Jones? Believe me folks, Matt Jones is NEVER going to extend himself to catch a football. He hears footsteps if he is within ten yards of a catch. What can we possibly get for him?

Jack Del Rio
I am as glad as anyone can be that Jack got a five year extension. He has earned it many times over. Of course there will be people who dis-agree, but I don't think they have a leg to stand on. About Williams: This guy has already pleaded guilty to these charges, and paid a fine. Now he realizes that he has a criminal record, so he wants to try to side step the Guilty Plea, From what came out of Williams's mouth, even if it was only a couple of words of what he said to the officer, it shows what he is made of. What did he have to apologize for, if he did nothing.he more than likely bumped into that attorney, and mentioned his incident, and the attorney said: I can get that expunged for you. Williams says OK. Now the next thing is this six-hundred dollar an hour attorney. He will string this a very long way. All Williams had to do was ride out the truth he told the Judge in 2006, when He pleaded guilty. I also respect Jack DelRio for sticking with his player. Until this is now settled, Jack will have Williams back. If Williams sinks, it won't be bad for Jack, He was just doing what some of you, and myself would do. Hang in there with eachother, BUT!!!! if he is lying to Jack, Mr. Williams, his Bentley, and the Ho will be on the next bus out of town.

Don Curtis
I have spent a many nights at the Old Coliseum watching Don Curtis wrestle, and use that sleeper hold. He flies his own plane, and use to go all over the State, and Georgia. Those days of wrestling at our Coliseum were times, I can never forget. People just wouldn't believe that the Coliseum was packed, on what I think was Thursday nights. Don use to partner up with a guy named Jack someboddy. It slips my mind. Of course I am dating myself by just remembering those nights in the seventies. I came here in 1968. Don Curtis should also be remembered for all the unselfish time he gave to the less fortunate, and he loves kids. May Don Curtis be a name that is never forgotten in this city. Another great pioneer was Jay Solomon, and Gordon Solie. Those were the greatest times in Jacksonville, as far as I am concerned. I hope that sports fans, and people of Jacksonville will pray for Don Curtis. I know that I will. He gave much more than he got.

The Jaguar Shuffle !!
I do not have the expertise to make any suggestions to good football minds, but we did make it to the Playoffs last year, and if it wasn't for some missed catches, we may have beaten New England. The Giants showed them that they could be beaten by just a fair team, and we had a good team. It's going into the 12th or 13th year now, and I just hope that with all these juggling acts we make it to The Big Game. I truly am expecting nothing less this year. I sure hope that Jack has his head on straight, and Weaver keeps his nose out of it, and just writes the checks. He is a shoe man, not a talent scout. When Jerry Jones sticks his nose into his little party in Dallas, they go Kerplunk!!! As a Jaguar fan, I am proud to wear the Jaguar Gear, and I want to continue to be proud.

Jaguars on TV Next Season
I will be so pissed off if the Jaguars do not get more national exposure next season. I am sick of seeing the Dallas Cowboys get several high profile game every year and the Jags get none. There is no mystery why no one knows anything about this team, The country never gets to see them play. I am hoping that the NFL puts us on Thanksgiving with the Detroit Lions. That is a high profile game and that would give this team massive media exposure. We have a great list of teams we are playing this year and I see several possible national broadcast games possible. The NFL needs to showcase its young up and coming stars. I had had enough of the over hyped Reggie Bush, Now lets show some love to a real star that produced on the field: Jones Drew. He runs rings around Reggie Bush. Give this guy some TV time please NFL.

Fred Taylor
Once again it is very obvious as to the politics in Professional Football. Yes the game was entertaining, and everyone had a nice vacation, but Peyton Manning showed this viewer just how selfish he really is. It was the peyton Manning show while he was out there, and there were very few breaks given to our own Freddy Taylor. Fred Taylor is the 17th highest rated runnung back of "ALL TIME". Freddy bought thirty-eight tickets for his friends, and family, so they could enjoy some of the fruits of his labor. I believe that we have at least four bonifide Pro-Bowl Players on the 2007 Playoff team, yet we got one in because of an injury to another player from another team. We now have a top tier Professional Football Team. They are our Jacksonville Jaguars. Next year we should get a lot more publicity, and we should have at least three players on The Pro Bowl Team. If that doesn't happen, we as FANS better start making some noise. We also should learn how to vote for our Players. Forget the elections. All we have in them is Fools Babbling with eachother, on how to steal our little bit of money.

Sileo Needs to Come Straight
I get pretty tired of Sileo blasting folks who bring up his playing career. He says he played for multiple National Championship teams at Miami "all those championships" but it is hard to tell how many years he played at Miami since he was enrolled at three colleges for his five total years of college football. Just now he said he left college early although he was actually kick out of college for expending his five years of eligibility. He also is very vague on his professional career. His credibility would be increased if he would just come as straight on his playing career as he does on his steroid use.

Hypocrite's
What a bunch of football hypocrites we can listen to here in Jacksonville. The majority of this city wanted to tar, and feather Tom Couthlin, and run him out of town for the way he carried himself, and coached The Jacksonville Jaguar's. Now you band wagon jumpers are talking how wonderful Tom is, and how you are rooting for him because he coached Jacksonville. Now he is Tom "Popular" Couthlin. I have seen, and even taken part in some serious fence straddling, but I pass on this one, and most of you fit right in that category. Oh!! You have had a change of heart, have you? Oh, You want to identify Tom Couthlin with Jacksonville, now, but why didn't you want to identify Tom with Jacksonville before? He and His wife, Kelli have the Jay Fund. They help families of Cancer victims who are struggling to pay their bills due to the high costs of treatment. You didn't mention that when you ran him out of Town because he wasn't popular, and flamboyant. I hope Tom, and The Giant's win the Super Bowl, just because of you hypocrite's. I can see the headlines now. "Home Town Coach Wins the Super Bowl". If he does, it won't be because of any support from most of you.

I continue to be amazed at how in a world that preaches how progressive that a group of idiots can't see passed one single comment made in the throws of a general conversation. Although the broadcaster stepped outside the lines of '' POLITICAL CORRECTNESS'' she only made an observation that maybe the only way to beat Tiger is to do one of 2 things. Either work as hard as Tiger or maybe harder, or take him out. In a world where hard work isn't promotted, the easy way out is to take out the competition. Everybody just needs to take a deep breath and realize that the statement was not meant in context that it was stated. Lastly, we all need to quit wearing our FEELINGS ON OUR SLEEVE. Oyah. And quit giving a voice that prejudice race baiting white HATING Al Sharpton. Our world WILL NOT get better as lon as this kind of IDIOT is allowed to have a voice.

Fishing: not
This past weekend the top circuit in professional Bass fishing was in town, Palatka actually. Unfortunately there wasn't any coverage of the event. Local pro Peter Thileveros won the tourney and Palatka native Jerry Stalvey Jr came in second. Fishing is a major sport, more people fish than participate in any other sport. Ask Rick and he will back that statement up. No were not a popular as Jags and Gators and Noles, but we are a loyal bunch to our sponsors. The sport looks like Nascar the days with the paint schemes and sponsorship you see on a pro's rig. It is a stale and to oft repeated line, but" how about a little love". The Lynch Mob
Golfweek Magazine should be forbidden to even exist any longer. You would think that the editor's were surnamed Al Sharptongue, or Jesse Jack_ _ _. Lynching is a word that many of us heard all through our childhood years in the Cowboy, and Indian T.V. show's, and Movies. This Lady that said lynch during her passing interview does not have a racist bone in her body. Tiger Woods is so busy acting like a white person that he didn't even come forth, and help out, and so the lady is marked for life by certain ethnic goups that just get off on this stuff. Golfweek magazine may sell a bunch of magazines this week,or Month, but then they should suffer, just as they made The female announcer suffer. If I didn't know better, it almost seems like Newsweek Magazine is inciting to riot, or at least cause a lot of trouble. Soon it will be offensive to the weaklings to even say the color, Black. We are all humans. None of us were slaves, and those that use the word, Slave to further their cause, do it because they are to weak to stand on their own laurels. All of us, both Black, and White, should be ashamed of ourselves. Golfweek magazine should shut down the presses.

wide receiver blues
With the inabilty this staff has shown to pick a quality 1st round pick. I can't see why using it to trade for a proven 1st round worthy wide receiver is such an issue. We have the 29th pick, a late pick an any draft. If I could get Larry Fitzgerald, a proven No 1 receiver for the 29th and maybe even my 3rd rounder, show me where to sign. What we have is the largest collection of #3's in the league. Yes we have young talent, possibly Mike Walker may turn into something, but that's not a proven commodity. We need a proven receiver with a good seven years left in them. Go for Fitzgerald, sign him to a five year deal. It will be the best wide receiver move the Jags have made since we picked up Jimmy.

Please continue the quest no matter what happens Sat. night, and be prepared to pay for the final pieces to the puzzle to bring a championship team for many years to come to Jax by bringing in the best players on the market! If you want to sell tickets every Sunday we will need your dedication and dollars to bring in the best players available and the fans will come! The Jaguars
This is my take on The Jacksonville Jaguars. Win, Lose, or Draw at New England, they have made me, and should make you very proud to be a part of "The Jaguar Nation". Saturday night, I think that everyone that possibly can, will be in front of their television, or radio, and rightfully so. Now I am kind of crippled up in a wheelchair, but Win, Lose, or Draw, there sould be a very large crowd meeting The Jaguars, and Coaches when they return hom from New England. While I am here. We got robbed in The Pro-Bowl selections. We did not get to where we are with a bunch of Ding Dong's. Jack Del Rio took a large group of boy's, and made men out of them. Football Men. Better Men, and we from Jacksonville are the benefactors of much of this progress.
Thank You "Jaguar Nation". You have made us proud. Now, as far as Matt Jones goes, all I have to say, "Sayonara". You took The Weavers Money, and gave nothing back. You may have fooled the combine on a good day, but you proved to be a big ZERO when it counted. You are afraid to take a hit, and you wouldn't stretch out for a ball if it was for a Championship. I hope you go back to Arkansas, and just leave the bad taste in our mouth that you left us about you. "No Guts,No Glory".

Win Is A Win
Jack Del Rio You are the man. how you did not coach of the year. Great win. Even if it was a little Ugly. I rather see jags go up to New England. Weather is right for a Little Smash Mouth football. I will be taking Jacks and the points. As soon as the Line comes out I will be putting down 250 on Jacksonville.

Heisman Trophy
The Heisman trophy should be awarded after the season is over in mid January. Tim Tebow's performance against The Michigan Wolverines shows that he is not worthy of the honor. If he is the respectable person everyone makes him out to be he should give back the statue.

Playoff Seeding
I know the NFL is steeped in tradition, but it's sad when teams like J'ville area toiling behind a perennial power Indy and will always be relegated to a second place (wild card) finish. If teams were seeded by their won-loss record it would give some of the second place teams opportunities for home games during the playoffs. To have to go to San Diego, or Pittsburgh when we've already beaten them this year - while it's the way the rules are set up -- just doesn't seem right in the grand scheme of things.

Based on the UF & GS 'sellout' by ticketmaster, maybe the Jaguars will be on TV more next year
Based on the UF & GS 'sellout' reported by ticketmaster to potential buyers, maybe the Jaguars will be on TV more next year
Ticketmaster and the National Football League have formed a partnership making Ticketmaster the official ticket-resale service of the NFL starting with the 2008 season.
Terms of the multi-year partnership were not disclosed.
Ticketmaster will create the "NFL Ticket Exchange," which will be found on both Ticketmaster.com and NFL.com. Ticketmaster already provides primary ticket services, including advance and onsite single game ticket sales, season ticketing and group ticketing for 31 NFL teams.
Additionally, TicketExchange, Ticketmaster's fan resale ticketing platform that is currently used by 18 NFL teams, is set to start using TicketExchange in 2008.
The deal will supersede the one the Jaguars signed in mid-2006 with TicketsNow.
"The ticketing marketplace continues to evolve and sports fans demand more creative opportunities to experience our games. We will now be able to meet their expectations with our safe, consistent and guaranteed service. The new partnership also will enable us to work with Ticketmaster to further develop fan-friendly ticketing programs and innovations," Eric Grubman, the NFL's executive vice president and president of NFL Ventures, said in a statement.

PRO BOWL AND BLACK OUTS
Everyone is scratching their head as to why Fred Taylor didn't make the Probowl. Maybe it is because no one can see him play because all the damn games get blacked out. I just checked ticketmaster and there are plenty of seats in the upper level if you need more than one seat. There are plenty of single seats scattered throughout the stadium. I think the biggest problem is that the Jaguars and Ticketmaster leave to many single seats in the stadium. Who the hell is going to the game by themselves? Not many I would assume. Something has to be done about this. The Jags front office needs to get involved in the season ticket sales and ensure that no single seats are left open between season ticket holders. Those seats will not get sold throughout the season. Wayne Weaver and the rest of the front office is to blame for the blackouts. The fans are good in this city but if you can't get 2 seats together for a game then why even go? Jags are playoff bound. Good luck in the playoffs. Root for Cincy this week so the Titans can make their run for the playoffs. Cincy beats Cleveland and Titans win out then three AFC south teams are in.

The PRO BOWL !!!
Ok Jaguar Fans, and ALL other media around the country. We are the NFL Jaguars, and we are one heck of a football team. That is how I feel as a FAN. Now, I just want to mention some of our Players that deserve a Pro Bowl appearance, and I don't mean by some honorable mention. I mean first ballot players. If Fred Taylor does not make the first line Pro-Bowl selection this year, something is fixed, or very wrong. Out of the thousands of running backs that ever played the game, Freddy T. is number 18 on the ALL TIME rushing list. Those are Hall of Fame Statistics, and those are statistics that get Players in the ProBowl. If it doesn't happen, than we as fans have not done our part. The front office has not done their part. If Gerard is not asked to the Pro Bowl, while being the third rated quarterback in the NFL, again, there is something very wrong. We are a Playoff bound team, and should be promoted through out the whole NFL Country. How abour our "SUPER little MAN"? A little five foot seven Ball of Power that has knocked out three-hundred pound players. He doesn't run for the sideline when he see's that Giant coming at him. He stares him in the belly button, and puts his head right into it. He gets up, and the giant is taken off in the disabled wagon. Jacksonvillians, we owe it to our team, and Jack DelRio to do what ever we can to get our great players to Hawaii. Lets RALLY together, and send some emails, and make some phone calls. Now..this is Mr. Magoo, and I see YOO.

Bobby Bowden
I don't understand why we feel we must let Bobby decide when he is done or why we feel that we must allow him to 'go out on top.' The way it's going now FSU won't be 'on top' any time in the future - esp as long as Bobby is Head Coach. He is not the team or the school. He is a man who has coached at FSU for 30 plus years and most of those years were good. We can't honestly say that anymore, can we?
It would seem to me that if Bobby REALLY cared about FSU's future he would do the right thing and step down - let some new blood be infused into that team. He has done all he can do - that has been evident the last few seasons. I am disappointed that he continues to 'hang on' instead of doing the right thing. And the Boosters don't seem to be able to do the right thing either and that is to thank Bobby for all he has contributed to athletics and to FSU but also let him know that 'the fat lady has sung.' Is anyone going to step up to the plate and say what everyone knows NEEDS to be said? - 'Goodbye Bobby - thanks for the memories!'

Tim Tebow and Fishing
Tim Tebow does not go fishing. That implies the possibility of failure. Tim Tebow goes catching.
While catching, if Tim Tebow steps in the water, he does not get wet; the water gets Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow catches fish by pointing at them and saying, "Boooyah." The fish then gather for Tim Tebow to collect them.
For Tim Tebow, there is no catch limit. Tim Tebow will stop catching when he is good and ready. Tim Tebow does not keep the fish that he catches. He has 'people' for that.
There is no slot limit for Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow will decide what size a fish will be.
Tim Tebow does not join fishing tournaments. Fishing tournaments join Tim Tebow.
All trout that Tim Tebow catches are Gator trout. Period. _________________

Blackouts
I wish that people would lay off The Jacksonville people for the "Jaguars Blackouts". I know, I know that Greenbay never has a problem, but they have been around a long time, and the only way you can get tickets is if someone dies, and leaves them to you in their will. The Jaguars are a young team, starting in 1995. Most football people in this city are wrapped up with College Football, anyway, but most of our games are sold out this year. Its just that they are not sold out before the NFL deadline. Its a shame. We have good football people here, but we also get some very sorry customer relations when we go to buy a couple tickets. When you can't get a couple of tickets together, and you ask why, you get this. Well if you would have signed up for season tickets, you wouldn't have this problem. Instead of trying to work with the customers, the sellers also will say, you should have gotten here earlier, and here we are looking at the seating map, and clearly see a couple seats together. Also, when is the last time we have seen, or heard a Jaguar exciting commercial on television, or radio? There are several things that the front office could do to fill it up, but they are to lazy to do some real promotion. Don't hire some clown from out of town to just drop by some of the places, to try to sell a package. Get someone local who is excited about our team, and turn them loose with enthusiasm. Always remember "The Customer". In this case we call ourselves, FANS. The word Fan comes from "Fanatical". Think about it.

Jaguars and NFL black outs
People who complain about not filling the stadium that causes t.v. blackouts seem to forget what brings the fans to the stadium in the first place: A team and players that live up to the hype that is supposed to draw them into the seats in the first place.
After folding like a tent made of toilet paper last season and squandering the past few years with Leftwich at quarterback, is it really any wonder why past season ticket holders lost interest, particularly with more than one seat. I realize that some people believe that "a real fan" should look past such things ... but that's a silly myth. Reasonable people don't think that way! Not developing the team beyond a level of mediocrity was an important factor, and the Jaguars have only themselves to blame.
Second, fans are tired of hearing that "football is a business," which implies that fans are nothing more than an entity designed to pay the bill. The illusion that only season ticket holder are "true fans of the Jags" is more of the nonsense we hear that does nothing to rally the average person that have hundreds of other things to worry about in their private lives to support this team.
Believe it when people say that there are more important things to life than football or the NFL, and every person have choices on how much they can spend on luxuries such as going to the game. That doesn't mean this team is meaningless and doesn't have a place in our lives. But common sense allows all of us to understand that it's really a small piece of the pie when you consider what the entire pie represents. Since I'm on a fixed income, I can't afford season tickets, but I do "pick and choose" games that I attend, and I do wait until game day to get my tickets ... well after the NFL has dictated that I should buy them or threatens me with a blackout.
For one, this kind of black mail only hurts their image and reinforces the perception that "the business" preempts the needs and desires of the fan....many of whom simply can't make it to a game for a number of legitimate reasons.
From what I've seen, there is a need for a better marketing process, and that includes making better use of the t.v. coverage, not taking the program off the air because of some arbitrary ticket sale number.
One of the ironies of that rule is that during the last game, the greatest number of empty seats were in the premium seat areas which aren't even considered in determining a blackout. I guarantee there was no noise coming from those sections during the game, while thousands of game day ticket holders who chose that game to watch cheered as if there was no tomorrow.
If the team can continue performing as they have this year, getting more people to invest in season tickets next year will be easier. But there should be a way to get rid of the black out because it's nothing but counter-productive in terms of promoting the team and the NFL.

WHAT IS UP WITH THESE FANS?
Why can't these fans fill a stadium? I am by no means a Jags fan. I am a Titans fan and I stay at home to watch their games on Sunday Ticket. I have gone to 2 Jags games this year. The Titans game to open the season and the Monday night game against the Colts. It seems to me that people only show up when another good team is coming in to play the Jags. This team is 8-3 and they can't sell out a game. Ridiculous!!! They covered up thousands of seats to make it easier to sell out yet the games are still not televised. The Titans sold out their whole season in less than a few hours. Why is that not being done here? Don't be surprised if this team is moved out because the fans aren't going to the games. There shouldn't be any complaining either because it is your own damn fault! GO SUPPORT YOUR PLAYOFF BOUND TEAM!!!!!!

Another one bites the dust!
BCS - Whatcha you gonna do now??? Another team near the top goes down. Oregon loses to Arizona?!?!? And they were supposed to be one of the best and they lose to a team about to get their coach fired - what's up with that? I know Dixon got hurt but what we're seeing in college football is a bunch of teams all capable of playing for the title. And how is the BCS going to pick TWO teams out of a pile of one loss teams? The BCS SUCKS!!!

WHO'S Low Class??
Enough already ok guys? I've heard for weeks from Dave and Joe in the morning and Pete in the afternoon how "low class" Bill Belichick is. It seems you can't find enough words to describe your utter dislike and disdain for this person. The words "low class", "no class", "low rent" and various others keep getting thrown out. Well, I'll tell you what's low class......asking someone on air who they'd rather "do"....Sally Field from Smoky and the Bandit or Dolly Parton from Best Little Whorehouse. Pete's comments in the afternoon are no better....continuous references to pretty explicit sexual activity.
Enough with the smut....not necessary. Esp since I usually listen on my way to and from school with the kids. Yeah, they're older but still, so not necessary.

As if 2 blackouts are'nt enough !
Even though our JAGS were losing by a sizable margin, the network decided for us that we in the Jax veiwing area would rather see the end of the Bills-Bengals game. Also I noticed that these football Gods could not wait to get their beloved and highly anticipated Colts-Patriots game underway. Win or lose, I still would like to watch them to the bitter end. Called their complaint line and of course it was busy. The no. is (212)975-4775.

Stroud Comments
I just listened to Marcus Stroud's comments and I've got to say that I have no reason not to believe him. There are so many vitamin supplements out on the market to help the body heal, how would one know if it is ban. Any guy over 40 that works out on a daily/weekly basis knows that without certain supplements to help with the body's natural healing process, it would be impossible continue with any formal weight loss or toning regiment one might have. Football player's have to supplement their bodies not only with the food's that they eat but with the supplements they take. Their bodies are like a furnance, burning off everything they consume. If what he did or took is deemed illegal by the NFL, what Belicheck did was far worst. I believe there is a federal law that can be invoked as far as illegal taping without knowledge

Mark Richt
As a coach and a parent, I'm sure Mark Richt has heard the old saying...'give a kid an inch and they'll....sooner or later...take a mile.' He gave his permission for his players to break a well documented sportsmanship rule. We don't need to say a thing...My guess would be that it will come back to bite him. He is a father figure to some of his players and this mistake in judgment, no matter how he intended it to play out, will resurface in another situation. We all know that coaches are under the microscope in the disciplinary actions of their players. He just increased the magnitude of the lens.

Georgia's Celebration
Seems to me Gator-haters are the only ones who are ok with this blatant disregard for the rules. These same people are the ones crying about Gator players jumping up and down on their logos (cough LSU, cough FSU). To me is not a big deal. The logos are painted on the ground. If you don't want people walking on them, don't put them there.
The fact that it wasn't Richt's intent anyone get hurt is not the point. I'm quite sure the drunk drivers don't intend to get in a wreck, either, but the fact it could happen with tragic results is why there are laws against driving drunk. The same applies here -- a full fledged fight between both teams and fans could have ensued.
For all of you who think it was a great idea, I hope you never coach my kids.

The celebration by Georgia
I've been listening to everyone complain about Georgia celebrating after the TD.. Well BOOO freakin Hooo FLORIDA !!! If Florida would have won NO ONE would have said anything. Now that Georgia BEAT your beloved Gators, everyone wants to cry. Get over it.!!! You LOST !!! Also I don't want to hear any more complaining and making excuses over the air this week, like Tebow was hurt, the defense played bad. Remember in 2005 Georgia didn't have Shockley even IN the game that year and Georgia still almost beat Florida. Tebow was IN the game and got beat down, shows how good he is in the pocket now huh??????? Get over it FLORIDA you got your butts woooooped !!
Mark should be punished??????? Get out of here, he was trying to get his team pumped up and was going to take the penalty! Just 2 weeks prior he got on his team for jumping on the Vandy logo. DO NOT question Coach Richts actions!! He beat Florida and you can't handle it because Florida fans have become use to beating the Dawgs and they didn't this year. BOO HOOO !!
GOOOOO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!

'Bama still in Florida Fans. . .and you should care
You know guys... after the Saban hire, I knew I would see immediate improvement. Especially in fundamentals, discipline, and conditioning. To be honest though, I felt really decent about our offense, but our defense to be a major liability. Leading up to the TN game we had played slightly above average ball. Our two losses were at home to UGA in OT on a perfect pass by stafford and a out of nowhere luck job performance by Xavier Lee in a game in Jax, where both offenses looked like Tuscaloosa County junior varsity teams at best. Then we actually play a complete game and thouroghly beat the crap out of phil "emptier" fulmer last week. We play LSU at home on 11/3 in Tuscaloosa with both teams having a bye to lead up to the contest. Now I'm wondering if Saban can pull off a miracle and get us in the SEC Champ Game. It probably won't happen, but if hell freezes over and we can pull out a win, I think it could be a good thing for Florida. If they make it to the SEC Champ Game, a Alabama win this weekend means Florida may get out of a potental "rematch" with LSU. All I'm saying is if I were a Gator, I would rather play Auburn or 'Bama in the game than LSU, because a trip to the NCAA Champ game could be riding on it for the Gators. Its a crazy season, who knows....a 2 loss team could get in.

Where"s the Beef,Jack?
Dear Jack del Rio Here's a suggestion an Armchair fan: When you get inside the 5 yard line and if you want to really score, how about not taking the big men out and putting the little guy in and thinking he is the best option for scoring? I love Mojo D, but is he your best option to pound it in and the D line is beefed up for the run? How about putting the biggest & baddest men you have on the team with some serious muscle and just overpowering the other tem? POUND IT IN!!! We need more beef in the backfield to run the ball that can hold onto to it better! It looks like Mojo D is coughing it up in these situations and is not the best alternative .I feel he is a better open field runner and is a special player, but I would rather see Greg Jones or Fred Taylor pound it in when the chance to score is there. Why do you always take Fred out of the game when you get inside the 10 yard line ? In practice does he always get stopped by the defense or something? What is up with that??? Fred Taylor deserves a chance. but is hardly ever used in this situation!!! He always takes care of the ball and is a proven runner when his number is called!! I just don't think we are using our players strengths properly in this situation ! I don't get to see the daily practicces like you do but this sure seems wierd to me!!!

Pacman
When will we start holding people accountable for their actions instead of pointing fingers at everything else. When you take a job in a strip club theres a good chance you will run into some bad people. The lawyers want to blame the team the NFL and the club for what happened. Pacman is a thug who has surrounded himself with thugs and trouble will always be not far behind. We do not know what happened that night but we know that this bouncer was in the wrong place at the wrong time and the the decision to take that job was his own. Blame the shooter instead of blaming whoever you get the most money from!

Let me start by saying that i am not a huge baseball fan by far, however like each major sport (NFL,NHL,NBA,NASCAR,etc.) the MLB has this big story going about the Yankees skipper. Should keep him or fire him. Now correct me if i'm wrong, but Joe Torre stats is as follows: 12years, 12 postseasons, 6 World Series appearances and 1 or 2 Rings (like i said, i'm not into baseball so correct me on the stats if i'm wrong). Now i know New York is a huge market and yada yada, but hell is it me or does JT look like a winner. We would call this guy King of Zamunda where i'm from. But seriously, where will you find a manager that will come into any situation and succeed as well as Joe Torre did in New York? If you ask me, they should allow Joe Torre to decide when he is ready to step down, and just pray that he does not hang in there as long as Bobby B and Joe Pa!

Number 9
As Garrard becomes settled into his position, a certain sports talk personality (3-6P.M.) needs to finally come clean with his man crush on the former starting quaterback for the jags. At what point does a move make sense? when it produces wins? it has to at some point. PETE PRISCO... do us all a favor. DEFINE what Byron did that made him such a better quarterback. I watched the games, i bought into the Leftwich hype. I don't care if we pass to Adam Podlesh the whole game, as long as we win and we don't suffer through Byron's famous SPLIT. Did you guys see that in the Atlanta game? He did a split for like the fourth consecutive game. Why cant we be critical when they lose, and boost them when they win. I get it, D.G. is just a guy, but this guy looks sharper and more reliable than Pete's Lover. Pete said give him four games, now how many games do we need to give him Pete? Pete got the best show still. I only miss it for my roto-rooter physicals.

Barnes outsmarts hick police in Hickville
I know Kalif Barnes thinks we are all a bunch of dumb hicks here in Hickville,I guess he thinks the police are dumb too after his latest excuse for driving into a tree near his home and leaving the scene of an accident was about as lame as it gets. Let's see you fell asleep on the way to the stadium just around the corner from your home? Just how long does it take to fall asleep after leaving your driveway? Then you waited to call or address this after you left the scene and had treatment on your ankle? I believe you think you are above the law because you make a lot of money and are a Jaguar. and can ignore the laws the rest of us hicks have to live by.Anybody else with your history would be arrested on the spot! I might be a bit slow, but I think you might need to brush up on your driving skills and your storytelling before you address your sprained ankle! Willis

War Eagle Auburn Wins!
Auburn will beat the Gators going away! War Eagle! Keep Tim Tebow on the sidelines so he doesn't hurt himself. JAG

All over the map.
I have several points I would like to get to. Sit back and enjoy. 1. Isn't it nice not having a quarterback contraversy in Jacksonville anymore? I love it. Now we get to have a "who's the worst wide receiver competition" every week. That's the kind of stuff I want to focus on, everyhing that sucks about my team. Go Jags. I love them and never want them to leave. 2. GO GATORS! enough said. and sorry to all you people out there who can't enjoy watching your college team play... cough cough "FSU" ...Who said that? 3. Get over what Gundy said and how he went about it. It was something to talk about. Come on, "I'M A MAN! I'M 40!?" That was classic. That's a quote I'm going to use until I'm 40. I'm 26 now. He just got that reporter a fat promotion (sorry for using the word fat. Dave) I meant to say big. oops, you get the idea. 4. WE HAVE A BLACK QUARTERBACK AND EVERYONE CAN'T STOP RAVING ABOUT HIM. WHERE ARE ALL THE RACISTS? I LOVE THIS GUY, GARRARD. He has worked his butt off and it is finally paying off for him. There are hundreds of thousands of people who could learn from his example. Work hard at whatever it is you want to achieve and eventually something good will happen for you no matter what race you are. The only limitations you have are the ones you put on yourself. 5. Last, 930 The FOX. Get some people in to fill your midday schedule. I find myself very disinterested in a national syndicate who tries to "PIMP" himself out to every buying customer/ market in the country. I want local talk and local information. "I'M A MAN. COME AFTER ME! I'M 26." Thanks and Goodnight.

Strength of schedule
I know that you're the flagship station for the Gators and they appear to be on their way to another successful season, but at least address their strength of schedule. At this site they are at 101. Why won't anyone address this when the stats are spouted about how well Tebow and the boys are doing? I am not a Notre Dame fan but you wonder what a team like Florida would do if they had that same schedule?

that program is in termoral the coaching staff stinks they dont teach the fundementals at all.what is real disheartning they dont even give kids the oppurtunity to win a position..in all my yrs playing and coaching,i have never seen such dis orginazation and no competive spirit.your not going to get it if you dont have it in practice. remember you play the way you practice.being a former ram my self it hurts to see how far the program has fallen.there is so much more to tell yall about their problems ,but thats anotherrant till tomorrow.depressed ram.
FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO SAY I LOVE JACKSONVILLE,HOWEVER I FEEL AFTER LIVING HERE SINCE 1994 THAT THIS TOWN/JAGUAR ORGANIZATION IS ONE OF THE MOST SNAKEBITTEN ORGANIZATION THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. ITS A SHAME BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH POTENTIAL,YET EVERYTHING IS SO CONTROVERSIAL. FROM THE COURT HOUSE TO THE LIBRARY TO THE SHIPYARD TO CECIL FIELD TO THE JAGUARS ETC...WHEN IS THERE GOING TO BE ANY LIFE TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA.THIS IS THE LARGEST CITY IN THE STATE/COUNTRY WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON? I FEEL IF YOU ADD MORE LIFE AROUND THE STADIUM AND DOWNTOWN IT WOULD DRAW MORE PEOPLE. THIS IS A FISHING TOWN,WHY IS NOT A OPEN FISHWARF NOT INCLUDED. WHY IS THE LITTLE TRAM GOING AROUND IN A CIRCLE DOWNTOWN THAT NOBODY RIDES. IT SHOULD GO ALL OVER THE CITY. WHY DONT WE HAVE A AMUSEMENT PARK NEAR THE ZOO. BACK TO SPORTS GO JAGUARS I LOVE YALL AND DO NOT CARE IF YOU MOVE TO AFRICA I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THE JAGUARS. SO LETS GET SOME OF THIS COTROVERSIAL STUFF OUT OF OUR COMMUNITY.

Replays at Jags Games
What's up with the scoreboard replays at the Jags games? The replays that are shown are often late and a show a poor view of the play. Often, especially on close plays, there is no replay at all!. Last Sunday's game, the coach challenged a play and it was never shown on the scorebaord. Does the poor performance of the team extend to the stadium personnel as well?

Jaguars lack of seat sales
Hey Pete, Dave or whoever gets this,
There are 3 reasons why I believe the Jags don't sell enough tickets and games get blacked out.
1. The Jaguars style of play- If you polled everyone in America, I believe a vast majority would rather watch offensive football rather than defensive football. The Jags now would rather play a 9-6 game than a 30-27 game(we had no problems selling tickets when Brunnel was throwing to Jimmy and Keenan) The Colts games are much more exciting than the Jags.
2. HEAT- I know the heat is a supposed advantage to the home team, but I can't sit in that heat for 3 hours watching a low scoring game. I know I could go into the clubhouse and catch some ac but what is the difference between watching at home then? Oh yeah, several hundred dollars! (Club seats $180+/game each). It is easier to keep active at a cold game than suffer through a HOT game.
The biggest reason
3. Directv- The NFL Sunday Ticket gives the ability to watch all of the games. If you order the Super Fan Pass as I do, You can watch them all in HD! There is a channel that splits the screen into 8 games (last year, blacked out Jags games were on this channel anyway). With the coverages available, why would you sit in 90+ degree heat, pay $6/beer and wait in line for the bathroom while you might miss the 2 exciting plays per game the Jaguars offer. I can pause action at home until I'm ready to watch.
I support the Jaguars as I have owned probably 50 shirts over the 10 year history. I also used to have 4 club seats but I got rid of them when Weaver screwed Brunnell out of a job. I don't dislike Leftwich but I thought Brunnel gave them the best chance to win that year. The same thing happend this year!Leftwich gave the Jaguars the best chance to win this year. There is no loyalty to the players or fans.
I believe the Jaguars will go 7-9 at best. I don't care what anyone says in the media, Garrard WAS the reason the Titans won the game last Sunday. If you take the one long TD away from Garrard's stats and he didn't do so well. 16/29 for 157yds. Hardly stats you expect from your starting QB against a crappy defense (you'll see how good their defense is this week against the Colts). Most of his passes were short which tells you he didn't give plays enough time to develop. That is why Tennessee brought the safeties up. They knew Garrard would run after his first read. It will be a long season if Garrard continues to do that.
Do you think Jack AND Shaq should be fired if the Jags lose to Atlanta? The Jaguars have lost every game that is a virtual lock and have won every game that was a virtual lock to be a loss. There is consistency but not the kind you want from your football team. Winning will sell the tickets, even with these 3 reasons going against them.

I am sick of it
I am sick of hearing about how poor the fans are because we do not sell out the games, and all this radio play about the few thousand tickets that don't get sold. what about the 55-60,000 fans who do buy tickets???We never get any props, not from the media, the Jags organization, anybody. Evert time I recieve anything from the Jags that starts out with "I want to thankyou for your suppoet of the Jaguars" It is followed with either some requestfor money (a bill) or letting me know of some season ticket benefit they are elimin

Go Gators!!

OK Amp, whats with this "ole white mans perspective"? All you have to do is go down and apply. Of course you have to have the knowledge, and the ability to speak english. Ya Know what I mean?

Dave,
I was really looking forward to listening to the baseball game the Times Union said 930 was going to broadcast at 1pm today(Sunday). What happened?
This the second time in as many months that your engineering crew botched things up. Maybe you or Joe need to come in on Sudays and make sure the slack-jawed imbeciles are at least awake and have a pulse.
I am glad you posted a phone number for Rants and Raves. Now all you need is some one to answer the phone.
Fire the moron and get someone competent in his/her place.
I will be super pissed if the Jags do not pick up a receiving threat this off season. Someone who can stretch the field and at very least open up some lanes for out current receiving corp.
C'mon Wayne... open the Damn checkbook!!!!
It is a stale and to oft repeated line, but" how about a little love". Tell you what keep the love just give us some coverage.

You know how I can tell your a georgia fan??? It takes you over a month to write a letter, and get it posted. Your not from Manningtown, Georgia, are you? I was on the road one time, and had to go to Manningtown. Its a one way dirt road that dead ends. I found out why some clown came out with a shotgun, and two teeth in his head. Everyone on the road was named Manning, and they were all related. I was just wondering if you were from there. You do know that Georgia did beat Florida this past year..2007. Don't you? Please be sure and write in next week, and I will tell you who won the Jaguar/New England Game.

Thank you for trusting the coaches decision to release Leftwich and let David Garrard become the starter for the Jags!! It was a great call and now we can go forward with a franchise quarterback that is vey coachable and a winner!! In my opinion, you can't win a Super Bowl with a mediocre QB. Thanks for letting the coaches do their job and not being a meddlesome owner as some are, and have been losers as a result of their ignorance .We are glad to have you here in Jax. and appreciate all you do!! GO JAGS!!

LA Is waiting for you. Jaguars
Period.

1 year ago Capt Rick says, great weekend Gators win Seminoles lose and fish are biten. This year, Gators get dog bit, Noles win, and no fish, waa waa waa. Rick stick to fisning reports!
Please read this over the air this morning !
Dear Jack del Rio
Here's a suggestion an Armchair fan: When you get inside the 5 yard line and if you want to really score, how about not taking the big men out and putting the little guy in and thinking he is the best option for scoring?

Keep Tim Tebow on the sidelines so he doesn't hurt
himself. JAG
